The Donkey Calf Raise See muscles involved Primary Muscles Involved Gastrocnemius, Soleus Execution Position yourself on the machine so that you are bent over with the weighted pad resting on the back of your hips, your knees straight, and the balls of your feet on the pedestal. While keeping your knees straight, sink down so that your heels are in the lowest possible position (Starting Position). While keeping the knees straight, raise the heels up to the highest "tip toe" position (Finishing Position). Tips and Safety Do not let the weighted pad rest on your spine. Keep your back straight and do not hunch over. |
